Postdoctoral Researcher - Chemical Engineering

Argonne National Laboratory

With guidance, the Appointee will:

·Develop new equipment and operational approaches for molten salt chemical and electrochemical processes that enable material recovery and/or purification.

·Develop molten salt monitoring and control technologies to enable operations of large-scale molten salt systems.

·Perform experiments to understand and quantify reaction pathways and kinetics for molten salt chemical systems.

·Analyze data, prepare manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed publications, attend and make presentations at scientific meetings.

·Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and Laboratory management through status updates, technical research reports, project presentations, and other regular channels.

Position Requirements

·Knowledge of general principles of chemistry and chemical technology is required.

·Skill in devising and performing experiments to acquire data.
