Job Title: Scientific Advisor in Nanoscience and Technology
The Scientific Advisor in the exciting field of nanotechnology is part of the Data****s team and will assist sales representatives during their negotiations with corporate and academic customers. In his/her role, the candidate acts as the subject matter expert and will explain the product, the science behind, its features and its content to librarians, faculty members, researchers, graduate students, and other stakeholders. Specific areas of responsibility include product trainings, scientific support to product development, second-level customer and scientist support, web-****d client inter****s and content marketing. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take part in product development, market research and marketing activities to ensure the successful launch of an exciting new product, and all of its continuing upgrades. He/she is required to be flexible, co-operative and professional to meet the changing needs during the course of product life cycle.
1、Guide and assist data**** sales by providing the sales teams with necessary technical knowledge and support.
2、Implement and coordinate all necessary product trainings (webinars or in-person) for customers as well as the sales and marketing teams. Communicate all product upgrades, feature changes and content ****s in a timely and efficient manner.
3、Determine sales and marketing strategies for the established and emerging markets.
4、Maintain financial performance of the assigned product(s) as defined by corporate goals and ****ives. Recommend changes to the pricing models ****d on the understanding of the target market(s) as needed. Resolve licensing conflicts.
5、Guide and assist product development by providing development departments with scientific knowledge and support.
6、Act as the source of expertise for all product related enquiries. Develop standard troubleshooting workflows for general helpdesk questions.
7、Employ your scientific **** to interact with researchers and end users to create awareness of and interest in Springer Nature data**** products on a large scale and in small focus groups.
8、Gather, monitor and analyze customer feedback.
9、Pass on reviews to sales to initiate the sales process, and also to development departments for improvements or solutions.
10、Coordinate with colleagues to promote the product(s) at conferences and meetings.
11、Represent other data**** products during sales pitches, conferences, etc. in close coordination with colleagues in Asia, Europe and US.
12、Act as the liaison between marketing teams, sales forces, development departments and end users.
13、Design and conduct research on competing products. Prepare SWOT and competitive analysis reports for the assigned data**** product(s) and regularly **** them.
14、Engage the scientific community through personal inter****s and social media with the end goal of showing that Springer Nature products can facilitate their research.
15、Identify new market segments as well as new data**** products that might serve as valuable add-ons to the Springer Nature portfolio.
1、University education (ideally a Ph.D.) in Nanoscience and Technology-related fields
2、Experience with publishing scientific research
3、Excellent communication and presentation skills
4、Excellent social skills
5、Excellent project management skills
6、Self-motivated and strictly business-minded
8、Fluent in English and Chinese. Proficient in Japanese.
