Global Recruitment for the Director of School of Management, CUMT

China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT) was founded in 1909, which is one of key universities in China's first "211 Project" and "985 Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform" directly led by Chinese Ministry of Education. Currently, CUMT is aiming to build a distinctive world-class university, and vigorously implementing the strategy of strengthening herself by her talented faculty. And therefore, CUMT is now recruiting Director of School of Management and welcoming outstanding applicants globally.

The School of Management was founded in 1953. Now it has 2 doctorate disciplines （Management Science and Engineering, Public Administration）, and 5 sub doctorate disciplines. It also has 4 disciplines and 8 sub disciplines for master's authorization. It owns 6 professional master’s authorization stations, a China-Canada MBA cooperation program and 7 undergraduate majors. A post-doctoral research station is also set wherein. The school has a national distinguished major, provincial key disciplines and research bases, and provincial distinguished majors.

Qualifications

(1) Applicants shall hold at least a doctorate degree and a professor title (or associate/assistant professor of well-known overseas colleges and universities) in the areas of management science and engineering, applied economics, business management. Internationally high academic levels and reputations, good work ethics and academic influences, strategic vision and innovative thinking are also required.

(2) Applicants shall have international academic perspectives, high level academic achievements in the relevant areas. Applicants shall also have long-term overseas study or cooperative research experiences in international academic institutions (more than one year).

(3) Applicants shall be in good health conditions with the age of younger than 50 (the age limit may be over 50 if the applicant is especially outstanding).

Appointment Duration and Remuneration

Full-time in campus work is necessary and the first duration of employment will be 4 years. CUMT will offer corresponding remuneration according to the academic achievements and job responsibilities of successful candidates (upon discussion in the interview). Applicants with the title of Academy Fellows, 1000 Plan Inductees, Changjiang Scholar, National Outstanding Youth Fund Winners and other outstanding scholars in line with CUMT's Yueqi Plan will enjoy the same remuneration.
