The Center for Translational Vision Research in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of California, under direction of Dr. Krzysztof Palczewski is seeking applicants for a Postdoctoral Research Scholar position (or PhD student). The Center for Translational Vision Research serves as an international leader in advancing research and bolstering support of investigators pursuing basic and translational sciences relevant to vision.

Applications are being sought from recent Ph.D. graduates in the field of Molecular Biology/Biochemistry or equivalent. Interdisciplinary skills and approaches in genome editing are strongly desired. The incumbent will be expected to perform various lab tasks and work on current research projects related to ocular disease.

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree in the field of Ophthalmology, Biochemistry, Microbiology or equivalent.
