Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University, a leading institution in the heart of New York City, is seeking outstanding and motivated Postdoctoral Fellows to conduct cutting-edge research in the structural biology of membrane proteins or single-molecule biophysics. These positions offer an exceptional opportunity to work at a world-class institution and make significant contributions to groundbreaking research.

Position 1: Structural Biology

Project Focus:

Investigating the structural biology of transmembrane receptors and signaling complexes, with an emphasis on G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) and single-pass transmembrane receptors.

Key Qualifications:

Extensive experience in cryo-EM structural studies of membrane proteins

Solid background in protein biochemistry and molecular biology

Strong interest in utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and collaborating with leading experts

Position 2: Single-Molecule Biophysics

Project Focus:

Applying single-molecule biophysical techniques to observe individual transmembrane receptors as they move and flex, illuminating the forces and motions that drive cross-membrane signaling.

Key Qualifications:

Proven expertise in single-molecule methodologies, including fluorescence-based detection and force-based manipulation

Demonstrated proficiency in experimental design and data analysis related to single-molecule studies
